Fun Keychain Sculpting - Inspired by Studio Ghibli's My Neighbor Totoro

Calling all young artists! Embark on a whimsical and imaginative adventure with our lively and interactive hand sculpting workshop led by the talented mixed media artist, Alejandra Troncoso. In this 1.5 to 2-hour class, participants all ages will delve into the enchanting world of Studio Ghibli's My Neighbor Totoro, crafting their very own unique 3D keychains inspired by the beloved characters from the film.

Workshop Highlights:

Introduction and Materials (15 minutes): 

Step into the magical realm of Studio Ghibli as Alejandra introduces the endearing characters from My Neighbor Totoro. Explore a variety of colorful modeling clay and sculpting tools provided for the workshop, each chosen to capture the charm of Totoro and friends. 

Step-by-Step Sculpting (45 minutes): 

Dive into the sculpting process with detailed, age-appropriate instructions for creating a Totoro-inspired character keychain. Alejandra will guide participants through every step, from forming the basic shapes to adding unique details that bring these beloved characters to life.

 Baking Magic (15 minutes): 

While the participants take a short break, Alejandra will carefully bake the creations, ensuring they are solidified and ready for the next phase of the enchanting journey. 

Painting and Sealing (30 minutes): 

Reunite with your newly baked creations and embark on a colorful journey as Alejandra demonstrates painting techniques inspired by the Studio Ghibli palette. Learn how to seal your keychains to preserve the vibrant colors and details for lasting enjoyment, just like the enduring magic of My Neighbor Totoro. 

Clean up (15 minutes):

Take-Home Celebration: At the end of this whimsical and engaging workshop, each participant will leave with their personally crafted, super cute keychain inspired by Studio Ghibli's My Neighbor Totoro. These charming accessories will not only stand out but also serve as a delightful reminder of the magical memories made during the class.
